About the artist

My name is Meri and I am a traditional artist and illustrator, as well as an art therapist.
Actually, I never knew what to say with my art until I started my formation as an art therapist. It was then, when I started a personal adventure into myself, and I began to draw and paint instinctively for myself.  Then, art became a way to release tensions, and explore myself and my psychological world.
Since then, I haven't been able to stop this path and I have kept creating.
I love combining human figures with animals and nature, looking for a surrealistic and fantastic look to express my inner world. 
Nowadays I use mostly gouache, but a big portion of my past artwork has been done in pencil and graphite.
